Yesterday, 10th October 2018, we heard the final appeal outcome at the Supreme Court of the birthday cake case, where a Northern Ireland Christian owned bakery had refused to bake a cake with Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street on the top and the words saying ‘Supporting same-sex marriage’.
The court decided in favour of the bakery that they were lawfully allowed to refuse to decorate the cake as it was against their Christian religion.
